I don’t know about you guys but at the start of every summer, I always wax optimistic about all of the things I’ll do and all the places I’ll go. I always intend to take lots pf pictures so I can create the best photo album ever! Then the day after Labor Day, I look back at it all and wonder, “Where did my summer go?”
So, in an effort to help us make the most of our last few
weeks of summer, Family & MWR has developed quite the Summer Bucket List
for kids, teens, couple, and families.
Hopefully, you’ll be able to check off quite a few of these things. If not, you’ve got your work cut out for
you! What a nice mountain of work to get
through, though, huh?
Kids Summer Bucket
List
- Play in the rain
- Camp in the back yard, on the balcony, or on the deck
- Fly a kite
- Pick wildflowers
- Set up a lemonade stand
Teen Summer Bucket
List
- Get a part time job
- Read 5 books
- Go to a local carnival/state fair with friends
- Go to a museum not visited before
- Go to a neighborhood baseball game
Family Summer Bucket
List
- Have Family Game Night…outside…in the dark (see our “Fun with Kids” Pinterest board)
- Go to the beach for a day/the weekend
- Visit a planetarium
- Go to a drive-in movie
- Make a summer scrapbook of all the fun you had
Couples Summer Bucket
List
- Go swimming at night
- Go to an outdoor performance (concert, play, etc)
- Participate in a flash mob (we’re still looking for lots of fun, party-people - see our website)
- Enjoy a sunset picnic
- Throw a dart at a (local) map. Take a day a day trip to wherever the dart sticks.
